You're going to have so much fun! I just got back from Chile (I went to visit my family, like I do every year) about 2 weeks ago.

You absolutely HAVE to go to El Mercado Central. Chile is really big on seafood, and El Mercado has many different restaurants all specializing in seafood. Don Agusto happens to be my favorite, but it's a bit pricey.

La Moneda is the Chilean White House. It's so beautiful and they let you take a tour for about 5 dollars. I didn't get to take the tour because there was a protest outside, but hopefully you'll have better luck.

Cerro San Cristobal, or San Cristobal Hill, allows you to ride these egg-shaped carts that give you the best view of the entire city. There's also a huge statue of the Virgin, a zoo, casino, and restaurants. Definitely a must-see.

Wine is one of Chile's most exported items, so visiting a vineyard is a great way to see how wine is made. Concha y Toro is one of the most famous wines from Chile, and they give you a detailed tour on how wine is made, all while giving you the best wine and cheese to taste.

I hope you enjoy Chile as much as I do! Have a nice trip!
