Wealthy neighbors;; judgmental?

so i'm moving to a new home in 7 days. it's in a wealthy neighborhood, the home is really really big. the thing is, we really are NOT wealthy. by any means. we got the home so cheap because it was about to go into foreclosure, and our friends were the previous owners.

my question is, im a little scared of the neighbors. one family is young, living in a 10,000 square foot brick mansion, the husband is a well known cardiologist, and the wife hasnt worked a day in her life. she just had her first child, and they are like beyond rich.

im kind of scared of them being judgmental. they dont know we arent rich, and if they found out we moved from a really average neighborhood, they'd be mean? mean..hmm..no, a worse word. i dont know.

any way to make this situation any better?

much love,

alyssa

Relax. They're just people like anyone else. There's no point in trying to figure out what they'll be like--just find out yourself. It really sounds like you are the one who is judging you for the amount you earn. Stop it. Relax. Let your neighbors see that you are simply a nice person.

    Congratulations on your new home!

You seem to be the one doing the judging. Why don't you give your neighbors a chance first, and then make up your mind about them? You never know, they could be the nicest people on the planet or they could be insane. Get to know them first, and if they are mean, just sever ties with them.

To put it simply and not trying to be mean with my descriptive terms, but just try to act like you have class and not like a white trash billy.

I bet most of the people in your neighborhood will just ignore you.

Don't draw negative attention to yourself is the most important thing.
