Hygienist, possibly dental school, any pointers?

I am a dental hygienist and am considering a dental degree. I have an Associate degree with 15 years experience. Any pointers on schools? I am 40 and know the school I am looking into is a a 6 year program with 2 1/2 years of Chem and Physics prereques. Any shorter time options or any help?
