If I got a Spyderco knife and it developed blade play could I send the knife in for repairs?

    Yes, absolutely, they're very good with customers.

    However, bladeplay in 99% of the cases is due to loose pivot screw.

    All you really need is a torx head anda little locktite, the blue one will do.

    Apply a drop of locktite to the pivot screw and then adjust it to your liking.Let the locktite dry for few minutes and you're good to go.

    Shipping back and forth for that stuff is IMHO waste of money. Besides you can make it more to your liking.

    I would say you could send it to Spyderco--they are a great company and do a good job backing up their products. Give them a call and ask.
