... who is different to stereotypical representations. The film should portray the woman's/women's personality traits, characteristics etc. clearly.
Any suggestions? I would like a film that is interesting to watch as I have to analyse it.

The Women starring Meg Ryan, or the original. Trust me, their are only female characters in it. No lie. If that's what you're looking for you should look into either of them.

"Misery?" It does fit... Maybe "Dolores Clayborne"
How about "Alien visitor" AKA "Epsilon?" Perhaps a bit preachy, but interesting, and maybe we need a little preaching to, on issues of the environment...Hope this helps....
