what are hard skills needed in Management?

I believe that people who are great managers have a deep understanding of finance. They are also experienced in dealing with different people and attitudes at work. Leading/motivating a group of people toward the same goal is very challenging. Some people are "high maintenance" at work, while others are not. Having an understanding of the company for which they work is essential. Managers need to be able to tell people what to do, but not exactly how to do it. They need to trust their people. They also need to be able to keep certain information in confidence, avoid too personal of relationships with the people that work with them, maintain a positive attitude, and be able to speak in front of a group.
