How did the weapons of WWII affect the outcome? Who had the most powerful weapons?

Ok now I know the atom bomb ended the war, but I want to know about the standard issued infantry men and vehicle weapons. And I want to know who had the most effective weapons of WWII, not including the atom bomb. I'm writing a term paper on this topic and I can't find much on it, so I was hoping someone could help my out. Now, I want help but if you don't have sources please don't answer the question. Thanks again to anyone who helps.

Germans started off having the best, but when the American machine of war production was at its full speed, the US surpassed everybody else.

I cannot even describe to you what our country would be like today if we banded together and acted like the American people of WWII did.

the germans had better weapons on the whole but had several problems with them.

firstly was cost. a royal tiger was far Superior to an American Sherman, but the sherman could be produced in far larger numbers. also fascist economic plans sometimes hamstringed them, often factories would produce no spare parts because they where juged and rewarded baised on total tank production and nothing else.

this is a variation on a theam, in many ways Hitler was short sighted. the most obvious example being theoretical phisics, he thought it was meaningles psudo science, the sort of thing a jew would invent to line his own pockets. well we all know how that turned out. other advances from the jet engin to high feldelety recording to the assult rifle were actualy opposed by Hitler because he diden't see the use for them.

in the end the average solger is reasonable for hitlers fall, and to be fair the average russian solger more then anyone else.

you can't find much on the weapons of WWII?! you must be looking in the wrong places. i did this last year. in ninth grade. so it can't be that hard. people used toxic gas. shrapnel bombs. grenades. tanks. there was a very very large amount of technology advancement during WWII. it greatly affected the outcome. if none of these had been developed, the war would have been 100 percent different. people would have been using guns and bayonets rather than the modern weapons. you never know how the war would have ended up.

The Germans had far superior weaponry to all of the allied forces. The MG-42 is still used as the basis for machine guns today, for example.

However, this doesn't do much good when you have no ammo, fuel or manpower. Ultimately, the good tactics and adequate weapons of the Allies won over technology and poor tactics.

look kid you can search google all you want , but in ww2 the germans had 88 mm tanks with the thickest armor and AA guns ,the only reason after watching hours of the military channel and 20 years of knowledge they lost was because

    1) law of iron sight,First come first shot when a germans tank took out 5 shermans 1 would sneak up and shoot it in the rear .

    2) The Allies could mass-produce tanks and equipment faster . Knock out your emenys production over time they can't fight back.

    This changed throughout the war.

In the early stages, the Germans and Japanese had the superior weapons, and their armies were experienced.

As the war went on, the Allies quickly caught up and surpassed them.

  • the m1 garand (american) greatly out did the kar98k bc the kar was bolt action when the m1 was semi automatic. the american 30 cal was better than the standard japanese machine gun which was heavy, used 30 round clips and jammed alot. but the mp40 (german) out did the thompson or tommy gun, which was the standard assualt rifle for infantry men. i could go into more detail but im to lazy to, but those are some good ones

Artillery was the most effective weapon of WWII, regardless of what side was using it.

"The speed, accuracy and devastating power of American Artillery won confidence and admiration from the troops it supported and inspired fear and respect in their enemy."

    Gen Dwight D. Eisenhower
