Are three inch blades considered a weapon?

Update:

legally I mean. If I have a three inch pocket knife that I keep in my truck could I be fined?

I know its a weapon, I want to know that if I have one in my truck will I get in trouble. Its used rarely but I like to know I have it for safety

    It sure could be a weapon and a 3" blade put into the check could reach the heart. It may depend on the context. A dinner knife in the home may not be considered to be a weapon, but if used like one, it does become one, doesn't it?

    We don't need to carry dinner knives down the street. A pocket knife is 3" or less and in some cases it has been held to be a weapon, too. And could be a weapon, but then at one time a pocket knife was a necessity. There have been some situations where this was handled in a way that was too restrictive.

    Yes. Anything which can be used as a weapon can be considered a weapon.
