Parents how would you react if your daughter a high school senior moved out after she took a job stripping?

There is a local strip club that has been successfull recruiting young women who've recently turned 18 from the local high schools. 3 from my son's senior class recently became employed there and moved out of their parents homes. The young women do make alot of money dancing and the lure of being able to move out on their own their senior years is very appealing. So far about 7 have left home from my sons class as well as others from other area schools.

Update:

Might add this club is within it's legal rights, it's located in a rural area. For the most part none of the young women have dropped out of school and the club also provides $2500 per year of dancing for continuing education. Many of the dancers are students at the local techs and university.

Update 2:

This has nothing to do with my son, it was he and his friends who have been patrons of the club that filled me in on this matter.

I would be extremely disappointed in them but in the end they are adults and legally can move out without me being able to do anything about it but i would try even if it took her father and i going into the club to embarrass her or cause a scene each time she worked. I would feel that i failed in instilling the proper morals and values in them if the made a decision like this. First i would try to talk them out of making this choice for their life and make it known to them my disapproval, they would know my love is unconditional but that i do not support this. As far as this club, i would form together with other parents in the area and do my best to deter them from recurting young girls into this trade as well as find out how legal it is for them to be at any of the highschools encouraging employement for them. In the end though, they are an adult and sometimes you just have to let them make their own choices and learn the hard way that it was not the best choice and be there to help them get back on track, in the meantime i would do all i can to find new employement opportunities for her and also make it clear that any funds i had put up for them to help them start off an adult life would not longer be available to them if they chose this path. No parent ever wants this occupation for their daughter.

Sorry but a person reaching the age of 18 becomes an adult in the eyes of the law, and he/she is free to make her own choices. If you were a girl with an attractive appearance, wouldn't you be tempted by the idea of making the same money for 2-3 hours dancing as you might make in a whole week in a junior office position

As soon as the first girl gets followed home, attacked or coerced into doing something she would never have dreamed of - the novelty will wear off. If it were that great in real life - we'd all be doing it!

Just hope that the smart girls will say no, or that they'll stop at dancing, and won't go any further. It's tempting to make easy money yes, but that's not really a very good life lesson. Perhaps the sleazy men in your twon should stop patronizing the place! Hopefully one of them will see one of their daughters there and their sorry lives will get put into perspective :D

    Just a thought.

Maybe you can have it shut down for violating zoning laws or local ordinances. That seems very predatory, there must be something you could do if you were to collaborate with other parents.
