Social security diability?

I'm middle aged but am unable work a full time job because of back, joint, and nerve damage. I'm considering applying for disability, as the condition seems to be getting progressively worse and have been to several specialists. Any help from someone who has been through the process would be appreciated.

It is extremely difficult to qualify for Social Security disability with a back disorder if you are under 50 years old. Unless your condition is so severe that you have lost most of your back motion or a doctor states that you require a walker to ambulate, they will say there are light or sedentary jobs you are capable of.
