grade 4 math question...easy 10 points?

at ur skating party u noticed 30 legs on the outdoor link. how many people and dogs are on the outdoor rink?

i am posting on my son's behave.. he don't want me to tell him how to do this questions...he want to post in facebook or yahoo answers..please tell him how to solve this problem...thanks in advance

    2 legs per person

    and 4 per dogs

    for people it would be 15 and for dogs it would be 7 and a half(7.5)

    Total 16 marbles 10 blue marbles = 10/16 = 5/8 = 0.625 = 62.5% 4 white marbe = 4/16 = 1/4 = 0.25 = 25% 2 yellow marble = 2/16 = 1/8 = 0.125 = 12.5%
