Is canned food better than dog roll?

My dogs seem to prefer the roll i give them but the canned food im feeding them at the mo has better ingrediants, more protein and more calcium.

Stick to what has more protein and vitamins as it will be better for your dog, stay away from the cheap canned food, can give them the runs!

do not feed a dog any canned or any type food. Make the food by mixing baked chicken with green beans, potatoes and carrots. Dice the chicken then add the veggies. You can warm each portion in the microwave for a few secs. Also you can feed the dog fresh carrots as a treat.

Dogs lived for many years on real food before people started thinking processed dog food was what dogs need.

My dog has flourished on the real food; her allergies and ear infections have cleared and she's much happier.

Plus it's cheaper to make your own.

Assuming that you dont want to cook your own food for the dog you will be better off going for the tinned food as the best of a bad lot.

Tinned or wet food is made up of 80% water and the process used to prepare the food involves such high temperatures that most of the vitamins etc. are cooked out.

You may want to consider a high quality dried food which will give the correct vits and mins needed for your dog type (size, breed age) as his needs will change over time.

She should really be getting a little ofboth wet and dry foods, have you tried soaking the bicuits in hot water and then mixing with a little of the chubb to encourage her to eat the kibble? Chubb rolls won't have all the nutrients she needs at her age, and are also quite high in fat, so if you can get her to eat biscuits mixed with the chubb then do! No dog will not eat indefinately, a\s they are [programmed to survive just like we are. I had a ***** gsp who would refuse to eat her meals. The vet advised us to give her the bowl of food for a short time (15 minutes should be more than enough) and then to take it away no matter how much she had eaten. After a while she realised that this was the only food she was going to be offered and that it would be taken away if she did not eat it. Lo and behold, she ate every bite of every meal after three days of staving herself. It is scarty at the time, but you have to do what is best for the dog in the long run, and the dog is trying to gain controll and assert dominance by refusing to eat what the pack leader is providing. By refusing to eat she is challenging your position as alpha by refusing the food you have provided her as unfit.
