The sunset in Sounion.

Acropolis and its museum are a must of course. Check out the Archaelogical museum too. Yes, if this time is in the evening, go for a great sunset in Sounio (in Athens, go to the top of Attiko Alsos - that's a small cozy hill with nice sunsets).

Also visit the national gardens, go to omonia square, go to the plaka. There's a numismatic museum too. Plus the national archaeological museum. The truth is there's so much to do and see in Athens it could take up your whole vacation. I've done that before, just stayed in Athens and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Number one is of course the Acropolis, a magnificent temple from Greece's classical age. My other suggestion would be to climb Lycabettus Hill, for an amazing view of the city.
Happy vacationing!
