I want to travel to Mexico, maybe Chile or Peru and finish in Costa Rice. What is the safest and...?
cheapest way of doing this? Im a 22 year old female New Zealander and am thinking of going with a friend.Please check out my other qs too.Thanks :)

You can safely take buses, I would plan to make no more than one day trips on the bus so you can enjoy staying in different towns and cities along the way. I suggest you fly in to Mexico City and start there and head south. Maybe go to Cuernavaca for a couple of weeks to learn some Spanish if you don't already know some. It will be important to have some Spanish skills in order to make this trip. Buy a comprehensive guide to Mexico and Central America such as the Footprint Guide. I'm sure you will meet others making this journey and will get some tips as to great but cheap places to stay and to eat along the way.
