    I would move around a lot and try to see some of latin America's most spectacular wonders of the world (like Iguazzu Falls, Machu Picchu, the Amazon), some of its great cities (like Buenos Aires), its most scenic areas (like Rio de Janiero), places of enormous historic or cultural value (like Tikal or the Panama Canal) and places where nature inspires awe (like the volcanoes and rain forests of Costa Rica).

    I'd want to see at least one....

    * bullfight

    * Mayan site

    * Inca site

    * Andean mountain

    * jungle

    * surfing beach

    * coffee plantation

    2 months is only enough time to get a smattering of experiences...I'm sure you'll want to come back for more!

    Every single country in Latin America has a long list of unique things to see and do, so it would very hard to pick which would be the best. I am biased since I live here, but I would suggest any of the Central American countries. Lots to see and do and less expensive to get here from the US. You can travel between El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua on the same thirty day visitor visa, and unless you spend all your time in the tourist areas, very inexpensive. A suggestion though. Unless you are intent on compiling a bragging list and plan to just hit the high spots without really experiencing the local flavor and culture, cut those suggested lists of six or seven countries to three or four for a two month visit.
