im losing weight when i shouldnt be...?

im a 15 year old girl, and my dad just passed away yesterday morning. i havent gotten much sleep, but ive been eating normal. one of while he was still in the hospital i went to check my weight (normal for me is about 120, im a level 8 gymnast so most of it's muscle) and it read 116. and at first i didnt think anything of it. and then the next day i was 115. and then a really strange thing happened this morning. I went to weigh myself right when i woke up and it said 114.0 exactly. and then i brushed my teeth, washed my face and put my contacts in (it took about 5 mins) and came back to weigh myself again and it said 113.1. at first i thought it was the scale so i checked again and got the same result. in about a week i went from about 120 to 113.1. is it because i havent been to gymnastics since monday (6/21) and im losing muscle? or from lack of sleep?

It could be alot of things. Most likely it's probably not a lack of sleep unless its combined with something else. Just a lack of sleep should have nothing to do with loosing weight randomly. As of not being at gymnastics, you normally don't loose muscle that quickly, unless your getting absolutely no physical exercise during the day. I'm not positive, so don't count 100% on what I'm telling you. I would say that with your dad passing away (sorry to hear that), not going to gymnastics, and getting a lack of sleep, it's probably all three. Im pretty sure that because of your dad, the like emotional parts of that effects what's happening, and then the gymnastics and lack of sleep would complete it. However, I'm not positive so I would suggest searching like.. loss of a parent affecting weight. or lack of sleep affecting weight, or something along those lines.

Hope I kind of helped you!

I used to be a competitive gymnast too, and you don't lose muscle that easily. Your probably stressed, sad etc. and its causing you to lose weight, keep eating and keep eating healthy and don't stress yourself about this too- you'll gain it back (lol I WISH I weighed 113!).

    So sorry about your loss=(
