Is BP a british owned company?
If so why are we allowing them to drill in US waters?
why isn't the US doing it's own drilling?
Why aren't we trying to figuering out a safer resource of energy?
Who pays Transocean?????

British Petroleum. BP is just like any other big corporation. They expanded into different countries. They aren't figuring out a safer resource because they are in the Petroleum business. Not alternative energy business.

BP is a British company but it has stocks. People who own the stocks own the company.
The US is doing it's down drilling. Exxon and other American oil companies are drilling and have caused spills as well (Exxon in Alaska).
Transocean is a contractor. Companies like BP and Exxon pay Transocean.

British Petroleum merged with Amoco (formerly Standard Oil of Indiana) in December 1998 becoming BP Amoco plc. In 2000, BP Amoco acquired Arco (Atlantic Richfield Co.) and Burmah Castrol plc. In 2001 the company formally renamed itself as BP plc
Around 40% of BP shares are held by UK shareholders and 39% by USA shareholders.
Oil and gas leaks into the Gulf and have occurred for thousands of years. Oil naturally seeps from subsea reservoirs all over the world; producers even look for natural seeps as an indicator of good regions for further exploration. Although the exact amount of oil seepage is unknown, estimates suggest that 1 to 1.5 million barrels of oil (42 to 63 million gallons) leak into the Gulf of Mexico each year.

they're merely referring the corporate by the call. For that, why do you call them names? Yeah! Being a multinational the corporate employed the locals, `mericans who did the wear (as consistent with you). So, what of it? you're being jingoistic by pointing arms. in spite of everything, maximum human beings owe their blood to the English. you're making it sound like they're as diverse from Samoans are from Egyptians. in spite of everything that's the corporate it somewhat is responsible and not the staff. Your logic is worse then the oft-despised 0.33 international mentality. the worldwide economic disaster has proved one element - whilst the chips are down the 1st international could nicely be worse than the 0.33 international. we've to create a area of interest 'the fourth international'.
