I got an M.I.P of alcohol, when there was no alcohol?
i was taking a ride with this guy, and he hits this dead end in this neighborhood where 2 cops happen to b posted up. They stop us and search the car. I was completely sober from any substance. They find a bottle of something, i think it was vodka but it was empty. i had no idea of it and it was under my seat. there might have been a drop but it looked pretty empty. i get arrested and thrown in jail for an mip can i fight this in court? i need help my parents are going crazy ive never done anything b4
i appreciate this, how much do you think the attorney will cost me?
oh and no i did not give the officer a hard time at all, i was so nice because i thot he would let me go, instead he arrests me and throws me in jail

I recommend that you interview at least 3 or 4 Attorneys who have a great deal of successful experience defending charges of minor in posession.
I recommend that you hire the Attorney that you think is best for your case. Please note that the Attorney should be able to show you a number of acquittals that Attorney has won for people who were charged with Minor in Posession.
Without an Attorney you will lose. There are no exceptions to that rule.
If you are represented by an Attorney who has a good record of winning cases of Minor in posession and you have accurately described what happened you will probably win a dismissal of the charges or an outright acquittal.
I recommend that you hire the Attorney. Get started interviewing Attorneys now.

You weren't driving and the bottle was under your seat.Open container charges are put on the driver. Did you give the officer a hard time?
See a lawyer. You should be able to beat this.
