Why does my throat feel like it's choking?

For the past couple months, I feel my throat having something liquid or something in there. Usually burping, swallowing, or drinking water helps when this happens, but it has persisted for a long time now. It's starting to feel choking and such. I do not feel any other pain, and digestion seems to be fine. I don't have any problems in the toilet or anything like that. I have to burp every so often, so that it doesn't choke me, but it's just been the same for a while.

I need help and away to treat it, because Google has not been my friend one bit. Thank you.
