Should I get a new PS3, get it fixed, or get a different system?
My PS3 just got the yellow light of death (YLOD) and I was wandering if I should send back to sony, get a new ps3, or just get a different game console. I have a fat 40gb PS3 back in 2007, not ps2 compatible. I know for a fact Sony knew about the YLOD before they released the ps3 and I hear they want to charge around $150 plus tax fix it or most likely give you a refurbished one.

Xbox's red ring of death is just as bad/worse, but the repairs are free so consider switching but if you are in love with the PS3 get a slim because its not much more than 150$ now anyway.
