Break out the BBQ grill for these:

    Baja Marinade for Shrimp:

-1/4 C. Fresh lime juice & about 1 tsp. lime zest

    -1/2 tsp. Chile powder

    -Salt & pepper (to taste)

    -1/2 C.Corona beer or 1 T. tequila

Place your shrimp (washed, peeled, deveined and butterfly cut) in a large bowl or ziploc bag. Pour all the ingredients over the shrimp and allow it to marinate for about 1 hr. Grill up on med. low heat until just done. Should be tender, juicy and full of flavor. Serve up with warm tortillas, tortilla chips, handcut salsa & guacamole.

    Asian Style Grilled Shrimp

    1/4 C. lite soy sauce

    1 tsp. sugar

    1 tsp. sesame seeds

    1/4 C. chopped green onions

    2 cloves of chopped garlic

1 tsp. toasted sesame seed oil

Same directions as the above recipe: Place your shrimp (washed, peeled, deveined and butterfly cut) in a large bowl or ziploc bag. Pour all the ingredients over the shrimp and allow it to marinate for about 1 hr. Grill up on med. low heat until just done. Should be tender, juicy and full of flavor. Serve up with steamed rice and braised baby bok choy.

    CHINESE SHRIMP CHOP SUEY

1 lb raw shrimp - shells removed

    1/2 onion - chopped

    1 clove garlic - diced

    1/2 carrot - shredded

    1 pkg bean sprouts

    oil

    SAUCE:

    soy sauce - 1/8 c

    oyster sauce - 2 T

    black pepper to taste

    1/4 tsp ground ginger

    sesame oil (4 drops)

Water added to equal 1/2 cup. Stir well.

Saute the onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons of oil until the onion is translucent. Add the carrot and frozen peas, sprinkling them with the sauce. Add the shrimp along with the rest of the sauce and cook until pink (about 2 minutes). Add the bean sprouts and cook 1 minute. Make a mixture of cornstarch and cold water (1 T cornstarch to 1/2 c cold water) and move the food to one side in the pan. Stir in the cornstarch mixture into the broth which will thicken it. Stir that into the food. Serve.

    Hope that helps.
