No, it is edited. Especially the zoom factor of the video camera is pretty interesting in that context - it is supposed to be handheld (otherwise the motion would be making less sense), but has at least 20x zoom AND a very good angular resolution at that zoom level: That would require the optics of a small telescope - on a hand held camera. Even plane spotters are not stupid enough to try this, though I know people who pay a lot of money for having such optics for a tripod mounted camera (Eg, private investigators). And such optics wouldn't be so blurred for other objects in the far then - the buildings for example are far enough away that the camera would still focus well on them.

That the background and the object doesn't move at all makes it easier to hide the editing, but the logical flaws in the script are not hidden easily. Also, there is ALWAYS the fact, that the more spectacular a phenomena is, the more people notice it.

My guess is that some hoaxer is just trying to take advantage of the false or unclassified radar contacts they've had at Hothot airport this year.
