You can use the wires that come from the head-unit, or just run your own. You could also run the cables through the grommet that goes between the door and frame. If you have a 2010 or 2011 Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury you can't get the wires through the door b/c Ford (owner of the three companies) uses a harness at the frame. In that case you'll have to use the wires that come from the head-unit. If you don't have the aforementioned vehicles, you can just run wires through the frame and grommet to the door. Good luck!

P.S. The front left speaker has a white (+) and a white with black stripe (-) and the front right speaker has a gray (+) and a gray with black stripe (-) wire. (This is the default color code for most vehicles, this doesn't mean this is exactly what yours has.)
