How much do meals cost in Puerto Rico?

I will be traveling to Isla Verde for 6 days and then to Culebra for 4 days. How much does it cost to eat out at the local restaurants? Is the cost more or less than US costs for meals for 2? (in the $15 - $25 range)

Also, any suggestions on places with great food in the Isla Verde area?

Thanks guys

    At the end of the main strip in Isla Verde, across from the Ritz Carlton, is a great local place called Metropol. It serves local food as well as a few Cuban dishes. It's a great place, with better than fabulous service. And the best thing of all is that it is beyond reasonable priced. We took visiting family there for dinner, there were 8 of us, and only spent a little over $100. Daily specials range from $8-$15 and they have just as reasonably priced regular menu items. There are tons of fast food places in Isla Verde, but my guess is that's not what your looking for. Try Ceviche House as well, great original cuisine at reasonable prices. If you stay out of the resort and hotel restaurants you'll be fine price wise. If you get to Condado try a place called Ropa Vieja. Fantastic food!!! Their mofongo is sublime, and they make a pork loin in a fruit sauce (lomo de cerdo in salsa fruita secas) that is worth the trip I make to get it.

    Now in Culebra you might spend a little more on food, but you will definitely find affordable local fare. Mamasitas is the place most people eat there, you'll find colorful locals and reasonably priced food.

    Puerto Rico is a US territory which means we use US currency. But if your eating at a hotel there going to jack up the prices.

    I rarely eat in Isla Verde but I often go to the restaurant on the water at the Ritz Carlton, its very good, but its like burger type food.

    Meals out in Puerto rico are just like is the USA. All different restaurants and prices. You could eat at Morton's steak house and spend a bundle or a restaurant like Macaroni grill. It just depends on what you like and what you want to spend. In San Juan one of my favorite restaurants is Madrid, tapas bar and Marmalade wine bar. In Culebra you could stay at Harbor View Villas, phone # 800-440-0070 they are nice and overlook Melones Bay at around $125. single room per night. The Palmetto guesthouse, # 787-742-0257 is also very nice. Good Luck and have fun!

    well if you are talking about fastfood, then it basically like the states.

    a range from one dollar value meals to 6 bucks for a combo.

    if you are talking about quick stops in the local streets, then you can eat for 3 bucks to maybe 6 bucks.

    if you are talking about restaurants, then the range depends on how fancy it really is.

    the economic ones range from 6 bucks up per meal and the fancy ones range from 15 bucks up per meal.

    Fast Food Restaurant? McDonalds? Burguer King? Pizza Hut? KFC? Taco Bell?

    * A combo meal for at a fast food is around $5 to $7 / person.

    Local Restaurants? Chilli's? Bonanza's?

    * $15 - $25 is enough for one person for a dinner and a soda / drink.
