should i run my sub at 2 omh or 4?

i dont know whats better and without rewiring it id like 2 know whats better and why pls

Update:

my amp is capable of running at 2 or 4omh and so is my sub,its currently at 4omh but would i get more kick outta 2

    If you had another sub you can 2ohms an you'll get more power out ya amp vs it bein wired down to 4 ohms

    Your amp's output impedance should match the impedance of your speaker for best sound and possibly the keeping of your amplifier in working order.

    Output into a lower impedance will produce more apparent audio power for you but will also produce more distortion.
