Believers who accept the big bang, what do you suppose the cause was for the big bang?

God! Why is that so difficult?
Believers who accept photosynthesis, what do you suppose the cause was for photosynthesis? Ultimately it was God.
Believers who accept the General Theory of Relativity, what do you suppose the cause was for relativity? Ultimately it was God.
So I have a question for those who get emotional about opposing the Big Bang Theory? Why is it so difficult to understand the difference between ULTIMATE CAUSATION and PROXIMATE CAUSATION? Yes, ultimately God created everything. But science focuses on PROXIMATE CAUSES, that is, it focuses on those things which are testable and subject to verification and testing. Genesis 1 tells us that God created everything. But it tells us very little about the PROCESSES God used. SO WHY ARE MANY CHRISTIANS SO THREATENED WHEN WE HAPPEN TO STUDY THE WONDROUS WORKS OF GOD IN NATURE? What is so "evil" about the Big Bang Theory (an explanation posed by a Christian physicist.)
Despite having been a Bible-believing Christian for some 60 years (after spend my early years an ardent atheist), I'm baffled at why many Christians rant and rave against aspects of science which SHOULD give reason to praise God!

The Big Bang has been explained to the point where there is only one thing left to explain, that's what caused it in the first place. It started from a spark and there is no rational way to explain what caused the spark which then caused the Big Bang. Before the Big Bang, there was complete nothingness. If you have sealed bottle with nothing inside, not even air, then how could anything ever happen inside it. It's not as if the universe is air tight because it's constantly expanding, so nothing could initiate the Big Bang except something that was already there in the first place and the answer is, God could have initiated it. The Big Bang is still just a theory so I'm not going to say that I 100% believe in it, but I do accept that it's a good explanation and could well be true.

Peace.
Present Cosmology deductions present a flat model universe, and that the physical universe makes
up only about 1 % of the universe itself.
Terms such as Dark Force and Dark Energy have been ascribed to account for the remainder.
Computer generated data back pedalling through the aeons can do so much. But of what is certain,
this came from NOTHING, i.e. no pre-existent matter.
What this means is, the Intelligence [for mindless blind chance can accomplish nothing worthwhile]
behind the ENERGY required to initiate a CONTROLLED explosion of matter, is NOT physical, nor,
is He [for Intelligent design of personalities must in turn have a Personality] governed by time, or any
physical laws.
The Answer
Isaiah NW
26 “Raise YOUR eyes high up and see. Who has created these things? It is the One who is bringing forth the army of them even by number, all of whom he calls even by name. Due to the abundance of dynamic energy, he also being vigorous in power, not one [of them] is missing.
22 There is One who is dwelling above the circle of the earth, the dwellers in which are as grasshoppers, the One who is stretching out the heavens just as a fine gauze, who spreads them out like a tent in which to dwell,
This Supreme Being, must have been BEFORE the First Cause, thus being the Uncaused.
Ancient Hebrew manuscript copies [MSS] reveal His name as YHWH, rendered as JEHOVAH
in English, which means, "He Causes To Become".
It is because of God’s will that all things “existed and were created.” (Re 4:11) Jehovah, who has existed for all time, was alone before creation had a beginning- Ps 90:1,2: 1Ti 1:17.
While Jehovah, who is a Spirit (John 4:24; 2Co 3:17), has always existed, that is not true of the matter of which the universe is made. Hence, when creating the literal heavens and earth, Jehovah did not use pre-existent material. This is from Genesis 1:1, which says: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” If matter had always existed, it would have been inappropriate to use the term “beginning” with reference to material things.
The Hebrew ba.ra” and the Greek kti’zo, both meaning, “create,” are used exclusively with reference to divine creation.

Believer is the wrong term entirely. I will accept accept though.
I don't suppose a cause. Neither does the associated theory, yet.
I also don't say, "I don't know therefore God did it." If you would like to, it's no skin off my nose. It's not going to convince me, though. I suggest just coping with that.
Edit: I might not share Aonghas Declared Me Immature's belief in God, but I greatly appreciate his point of view on this subject, and wish that more Christians would rise to that level.

The energy from random movement that produced the first quark super quark and system just found and not named. These systems of energy may have congested into something that produced big bang, for those that meed a directed creation. Personally feel Big Bang is another form of egocentricity, and cosmos just evolved.

Ok now, at first there was nothing... This nothing was walking down the street when another nothing bumped into him, and BAM!
Here we are.
Here is a simple experiment too prove the ~ absolute truth ~ what has been written above.
Scoop up one nothing with your left hand, now scoop up a big old nothing with your right hand. Now smack those two nothings together.. Congratulations! You just created your own pocket sized universe.
(If "nothing" happened, repeat till infinity.)

The science is still early in it's stages. We first need to gain understanding on how the Universe works. We might not know in our lifetime, but with alot of work and lucky breakthroughs, we will know eventually.
