when visiting someone how is staying in a hotel do you have to go to front desk first?
one of my friends will be in my town staying at a hotel and they want me to go there to hang out with them if they meet me somewhere outside and we go in will we have to stop off at the front desk or anything or can i just go to the room?

Just go to front desk and ask them which way to the room no: ? They will simply guide you.
That is the most easiest way.
