Yahoo Answers is shutting down on 4 May 2021 (Eastern Time) and the Yahoo Answers website is now in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

You can protest deletions and damage the deleter's community influence?

The rules say so.

Does it work?

thank god it don't work because of guys like bennite who run around reporting people when he could just click and move on. No there is something special about guys like bennite. They are driven by some unseen reason to do everything they can to feel important the small dose of power reporting someone on yahoo answers of all places shows his level of credibility. Another words if the only place those people have power in their lives is reporting then that's what they do. same kinda people become cops. Barny Fife types. im sure some cops are ok.

screw reporting and all the douche bags who think they are cool deleting perfectly normal questions

for instance I ask 4 times and 4 times got deleted..My question was short and sweet and a honest question but instead of ignoring it or answering it it got deleted

it was, "do you think we are living in the end times" anyway I ask stupid shiitt now from time to time just to mess with the turds who like reporting.

    Does it shite

I've reported racist and homophobic questions as well as blatant acts of sock puppeting/cheating on here before which invariably falls on deaf ears. E-mailing the Yahoo! Team when they do nothing is ignored because they consider it misusing e-mails for the purposes of reporting violations. Same with the suggestions forum. They sure as Hell don't like whistleblowers.

Yet every question addressed to conservatives is deleted within seconds. It's fine that Yahoo has rules against chatty, argumentative questions, but this rule only applies to non-conservatives. Basically, if you're a top answerer and chummy enough with the Yahoo! Team, you can say what you like, do what you like and delete what you like. They're the only rules.

@Clay: Get your facts straight, idiot. I gave up reporting things, apart from ad spam, a long time ago and I have NEVER reported anything offensive since I realised what a waste of time it is. If you don't like the rules, fair cop, but you have no right use the rules when people say things you don't like and then expect none of them to apply to you. Why am I wasting my time anyway? You're just another little Hitler on here hiding behind an alternate account. You're nothing without back-up.

I've contested every deletion I've had & never had a single appeal upheld, even the ones that were utter nonsense.

I'm still waiting for an answer to an appeal I made on 27th April !

I have noticed that when I report a question for being homophobic it is generally ignored, but if I tell them that it's spam, it disappears in a flash.

Being a top contributor hasn't done me any good & I love to know how to get in with the Yahoo team, I can't even get an reply out of them.
