What is the legal age of getting a bellybutton piercing?

My cousin wants to get hers pierced, & she is 14. How old were the people you know when they got it pierced? & sorry I posted it here, I posted it in the suggested place last time, & got no answers... /:

    If you have parental consent you can get it at any age. Otherwise it's 16 or over.

    I got mine at 14 with parental consent. It depends on the place, make a few calls and see which places would be comfortable with it. Many places won't do it that young even with parental consent though

    it depends on your state different states different rules:)

    here in illinois you have to be 18 or have a parent consent
