The bad news is that it's usually caused by a virus so you kind of have to let it run its course. Sometimes vets prescribe antibiotics to prevent secondary bacterial infections from moving in. Your kitty should be feeling better in a week or two. In the meantime he may do lots of sleeping. He may stop eating. If he stops eating you can try offering smelly canned food. Sometimes they get stuffed up and if they can't smell their food, may not eat. If he sounds really stuffy, you can put him in the bathroom after a hot shower and let the steam work on him. The good news is that if your kitty is generally healthy and in good shape, he should make it over this hump no problem. Hope he's feeling better soon!
