Okay so you say you are 13 well your a kid and you dont want to be on the back of a milk carton. I live in NYC and my kid is 15 and she is home by 6 each day and she has a job and she cant and wont do the things you speak of. Parents are parents by nature and do what they must to protect you. My kid has friends that hang out all times of the night but minds dont so I tell her friends at 7pm they gotta go home and they go off into the city well one got shot 2 nights ago being in the wrong place at the wrong time. My child is a child and so are you dont rush to be grown or you will regret it, your parents want to keep you safe and they are doing the right thing by making sure you are okay maybe your friends parents dont care as much as yours does so be thankful its like that when you have kids you will find out how it fills for a child to go missing and no one knows what has happened

Who cares what other folks say about you and your parents. There is a reason your parents want to know where you are and who you are with. You do not understand that right now. Some parents don't care where their kids are or who they hang out with. Just be glad they love you so much. Sit down and talk to them, communicate to them, Life is dangerous anywhere you live and there are so many freaks out there. Maybe communication, with your feelings about them being over protective will change them a little. Just be glad that you have love. You have to choose your friends wisely also

I understand that at the age of 13 you feel like parents are going to be restricting you a lot more than you would like. There could be more reasons to why you parents are strict on you like history/past, or just general concern. It could also depend which child you are (eldest, middle, youngest). Sometimes parents like to know they have control, therefore by challenging their authority can make them want to be more strict on you to show their authority, so maybe be more relaxed about it and they may begin to trust you more and realise that you can look after yourself a bit more.

But remember you're still only 13, in terms, especially for parents you're still very young. patience is my main advice.

Hope this makes you feel a bit better?
