how can i refrain from eating before bed?

i know its not a great idea to eat before bed, but i get hungry! then i cant sleep! i am breastfeeding. ive been trying to lose weight but ive not lost nor gained! im stuck! what can i do? help me!

    eat enough food during the day. If you don't you will be hungry when going to bed. One option for days when you mis-judge how much to eat and it's bed time, Buy some protein powder, mix one or two scoops with water and try to go to bed again. I've done it and works great. Don't worry about gaining weight this way, these protein shakes are absorbed much more quickly than food.

    As for fat loss you need to adjust your intake of food according to you weight loss. It becomes easier to loose weight to consume foods that are higher in volume and lower in calories and while focusing on eating foods with fewer ingredients i.e. blueberries, avacados, almonds, etc. if you adjust the proportions in your total food calorie value to 40% from protein, 40% from carbs, 20% from fats you will loose weight. You also may need more water, if you are not drinking near one gallon of water spread throughout the day you need more water, especially when breastfeeding so your body can operate more effectively and not have to draw the water from the rest of your foods and body.

    Eat dinner 3 hours before you go to sleep. So if you don't go to bed til midnight you can still eat at 9:00. Don't do the silly thing that some people say 'don't eat after 7' because it's different for everyone. Make sure it's a filling meal rather than just a snack. Go for a walk before you eat dinner. Good luck on losing the weight! :)

    Eat earlier so youre not hungry before bed. I have the same habit of eating late but you're actually supposed to have 6 meals a day. Eat breakfast within an hour of waking up. Then midway through the morning have a something small like a piece of fruit. Small lunch. Another snack mid-afternoon. Small dinner. And another snack at like 8pm. Eat throughout the day even if you're not hungry. Because if you wait till you're hungry to eat then you end up eating a whole lot more. It's hard to stick to, especially if you work, but it's supposed to be the way to go. I'm a therapist and I teach patients how to stabilize their diet like that so their mood stays stable. I'm just bad at practicing what I preach!

    Just drink your own breast milk, you can share with your child, you get one and he gets one!
