How well do you think Bruce Lee would do if he was in the UFC?

He'd be restricted in what he could do and that would mess with his system. Bruce Lee didn't do tournament rules. The baseline idea in JKD is that techniques should be effective and economic with energy which meant that Bruce was always looking to end a fight in seconds. Like Aikido, his methods could do just that. By the time the audience was in their seats it was over long ago. Not good viewing for those who like to watch that type of thing.

Bruce Lee, like Royce Gracie, was a pioneer in the sport. The skill set he possessed during his life probably would not have been sufficient to compete in modern MMA but that does not diminish who he is or what he accomplished.

I'll bet he would be a stand out in the 135 division.

He'd do a bunch of crazy Wing Chun and JKD shit and get destroyed.
