What does the chickenpox vaccine do if you already had the chickenpox?
I already had the chickenpox but recently got the chickenpox vaccine from my doctor. Does it protect against shingles or something?

Just as an everday person, I don't believe that the vaccines for chickenpox and shingles are one and the same. How about calling the doctor's office and inquiring whether or not you would need the vaccine for shingles, too.
EDIT: The two vaccines are, in fact, different from one another.
