why does pizza come in a square box?
OK i mean pizzas are round, so why not save materials by making the boxes round without unnecessary corners 10 points

Prob cuz when first made it was best way in terms or sheets of cardboard manufacturing..
plus allowed for a sturdy container via the strong corners.
plus could put few sizes in one set square size.
But ur so right- it be smarter as circle.

Joseph couldn't have made it any simpler.......it all comes down to the rolling pin.
When you roll dough it naturally comes out circular, making it square is too time consuming for a pizza chain......and we all know how much they love making money off obesity and heart attacks.
Square boxes by default are easily manufactured in factories, and better for handling. It all comes down to the profits the pizza chain wants to make......they want a lot for a little.

It would be harder to manufacture round boxes. Pizza's can be a little heavy also. Squares would provide more strength.
