    False.

I'll go with one of my old college profs. "Advertising is the mass undermining of the common sense of the consumer."

I can figure out how to crack or scramble an egg. I don't need a tool that will do both for me. I sure as hell don't need two of the bloody things for the price of one if I order in the next ten minutes. I have all the pots and pans I need, I don't need more, I don't want more and I can make most of what I want in a single saucepan, the old cast iron skillet, slow cooker or microwave, and no, even if I was interested, I still don't want two sets for the price of one if I order in the next ten minutes. I've already traced my geneology, I don't need software for it. I definitely don't need two thigh masters, I don't need British Petroleum to tell me how the Gulf of Mexico is clean, I can drive to Galveston and see it. I already have an insurance company I'm happy with, I don't need another. Timex does not take a licking and keep on ticking, just wear one through a plane crash, the watch will be the least of your worries and likely won't be working. I'm happy with my mentally challenged phone, I have a camera, I have several computers, why should I want to spend that much money for something that difficult to use? Yes, many of the commercials during the SuperBowl are funny, but I still can't stand Budweiser and I didn't buy a Volkswagen.

The list goes on, much of it from being stuck in front of late night TV. When I start to think that something being advertised is a brilliant idea, I know that's a sign that I need to get some sleep.

    True and False.

It is TRUE that you can find a lot of information when watching TV Commercials.

But, not all of the information in TV Commercials is true or accurate.

  • False for me.

Many times they give false information.

False. Most just tell you things to make you want to but their product. By using scare tactics, using random facts, and by trying to convince us to buy it, some are fooled. This isnt always the fact though..

False. They emphasize a product to sell it. Does not matter if the product is right for you, tasty, enjoyable, of quality, or even useful. They just want you to buy it.

Both actually most are just crap, but some are informative or amusing.

The same goes for those infomercials.
