Solve this math problem?

A student set down for a test which had 35 questions on it. After the test was graded, the student got a score of 21 out of 28 possible points. How many point(s) was each of the 35 questions worth?

Update:

@Ashley: Not really. 28/35 doesn't equal to 2.5.

    well there are many possible combintations. The simplest way to find an answer is to divide 28 by 35. which is 0.8 . Just to prove that that is right you take 35 questions x .8 points per question = 28. That means each question was worth .8 marks. And this student got 26 questions right. This would be if all the questions were worth the same amount

    28 points/ 35 questions = 0.8 point for each question

    To check:

    21/28 = x/35 Solve for x:

    x = 26.25 no. of questions answered by student (funny this is not a whole no.)

    26.25 X 0.8 = 21 score the student got
