"Deserve a Vote" Mr. President?

Yes Mr. President. the victims do 'deserve a vote', but why don't the rest of us?

The reason you've got so much trouble with your agenda is simply that

so many of us disagree with it.

First, "deserve a vote" is referring to how Republicans prevent things from coming up for a vote at all. He was saying that they should stop doing that, and let things be considered in Congress.

Second, more people agree with him than disagree.

92% of Americans agree that all gun sales should require a background check. The 8% who disagree are not "so many" really, are they?

But his point was that the Senate Republicans should stop freakin' filibustering EVERYTHING. And the House should also consider, debate, and vote on the proposals to reduce gun deaths.

Never in my life have I seen a leader force so much down the throats and govern against the will of the people in America. Then Obama comes along. Like most people, I thought militant leaders like that only surfaced in banana republics or backwards third-world countries.

Anyone familiar with Obama's militant anti-capitalist friends knows they have traded in their rebel uniforms and berets for business suits and Obama has done the same thing.

Mr. President doesn't deserve anyone's vote.

I think the Ft. Hood victims deserve a vote as well. A vote that puts the shooter in front of a firing squad. Obama is a slick talking idiot who uses kids to get emotional votes, and uses diversion tactics to ignore the real issues. The point is that if we lose our rights to own firearms, we lose our freedom. America is a twisted sick country anymore. He always blames congress for not giving him his way. If he gets his way we are gonna burn, American citizens will die at the hands of their own govt, our economy will implode, and our borders will be wide open for our demise. How does a president ignore 7.9 % unemployment and never forget the DHS has bought up millions of rounds of ammo, their intentions are not for the good of the republic, that much you can count on.

Everyone gets a vote, or gets to be heard, but the loudest voice, like NRA members, is just that... a loud voice. That does not mean it's correct, or intelligent, or thoughtful, or self-centered, or doing what's best for everyone. It means it's the loudest and that is all.

I think his point was that they deserve a vote on the legislation. We really can't do that directly now can we... oh wait, I missed Limbaugh today. Was this his main point or something.

If we don't vote on it how would we know if people disagree with it?
