Does the notion that atheists eat babbys (or even babies) exist anywhere other than Y/A R&S?

I have often wondered if this is a common (mis)conception or one only found on this forum.

I have been denied entrance to certain child care centers once or twice, yes. But I don't think that was justified, because I really only ate the fat and stupid ones.

It's based on Middle Ages persecution of so-called "witches" by Christians. Did you know that they not only burned witches alive, but their pet cats!

Millions of innocent men, women, and children were murdered by Christians who believed they were witches. It's amazing. Check out the book "No Meek Messiah," I just couldn't believe the violence that Christians perpetrated over the centuries, all sanctioned by the Bible (e.g. "thou shalt not suffer a witch to live).

The book "Drunk with Blood" is also a good one showing where the evil superstitious Christian notions came from.

It started in the Middle Ages when women (and some men) were accused of witchcraft. It was believed that witches would sacrifice Christian babies and eat them.

What a silly notion. Everybody knows its babbies we eat. Plump, juicy babbies.

Added: For everyone's edification, "babby" is an accepted Scottish and Yorkshire/Lancashire term for a baby.

No one thinks that. It's a joke that the atheists invented to make fun of people who think atheists have no morals.

I have never heard of it before until I came to yahoo R&S.

I think they've used that on South Park (not sure though), but I've definitely heard it used outside of R&S.

Please, everyone knows atheists actually eat kittens and push nuns off of cliffs. Duh.
