Requirements for a Catholic from an authoritative source?
Zero interest in bashing the Church, etc. Someone asked me if there is an authoritative, concise (there's the rub), description of the requirements for a Catholic--what he is supposed to do. What he believes is the Bible and the Nicene Creed nicely highlights key points of doctrine.
Clearly the Catechism is a huge book.
Asking a priest will result in a variety of answers.
Wondering if someone is aware of something fairly short (maybe a dozen pages or fewer) that hit the essentials for a Catholic (Baptism, Confirmation, Mass attendance, Confession...) from an authoritative source.
Please state the source, where to find it (hopefully has an online link), and feel free to distill the major points if you wish. Needs to be Catholic, not some outsider's take on what is essential. Yes, Roman Catholic, not Eastern Rites.
Thanks.

There is a website, catholic.com, that has a search engine, frequently asked questions, etc. It is probably the closest thing you are looking for.

One of these three might fit your needs, only the last is under 12 pages.
Compendium of the Catechism, http://www.vatican.va/archive/compendium_ccc/docum...
Lumen Gentium, http://www.vatican.va/archive/hist_councils/ii_vat...
The Creed of the People of God (Paul VI), http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/paul_vi/motu_pro...
Listed from most lengthy to least.
Don't be surprised if asking a priest gives you a variety of answers. There are a variety of ways to be Catholic.

This is a link from the Eternal Word Television Network. Its a media arm of the Church. This is about as authoritative as I could find.
