what does an NC grade mean?

does it affect your gpa is it a bad grade?

    It may mean No Credit. And that may mean that it was a remedial class that was never going to count as credit towards a degree. It may mean that you didn't pass the class. What happens next will depend on the policies at your school.

    I suggest you contact your advisor, but you may have to wait until they return from their vacation. Still, if you e-mail your advisor over the break, you are probably more likely to get a reply than if you call. Crazy professors and college instructors have been known to check e-mail over the break.

    It means Incomplete

    Your GPA is based on whether you passed or failed a course. If you are getting a NC for the year, you probably have to repeat the course. Once that's done, it won't affect your final GPA.

    If you don't make it up, that will affect it.

    It ether means "Not Completed" or "Non-Compliant". That's what I would get when I was In high-school and didn't finish half of my homework/tests.
