What would you do if you were Governor?

The California state prison system holds about 150,000 prisoners designed to hold 84,130. Clearly, the California prisons are overcrowded, with a number of facilities holding more than 200% of their design capacity. Gov. Brown is being told he has to release 10,000. What would you do if you were Governor?

I'd change sentencing laws so that more non-violent offenders would pay fines and be placed under house arrest than go to prison. On the other side, I'd also do whatever I could to increase the sentences of people who commit violent crimes.

Basically, if you commit a certain type of crime, you'd be paying the state rather than having the state pay your room and board for however long you're incarcerated.

I would release all human being that were put into cages for their so called crime that had no victim. No victim no crime. Half the people in those cages never harmed anyone.

Side Note. America the so called land of the Free, puts more Human Beings in cages than Russia does.
