Have you ever served on jury duty? If not, what excuse did you give them?
Just to let you know, I live in Hayward, CA. Thanks in advance.

I was called for jury duty once, but I showed the judge my orders to ship out for basic training in a few days, because I had just joined the Army. So they let me off.

No, I have not served on a jury duty. I get out of it because when I turned 18 which is the legal adult age in the U.S. I got indicted and convicted of a felony. This ensures that I will never have to be a juror. My dad got selected as a juror and he got sequestered for over 2 weeks. That's just not right and I would have lied if I were him and told the courts that I am prejudice or I read something in the newspaper about the case.

I've gone to the courthouse and waited around all day and was then excused, but I've never been on an actual jury.
FYI, it's not tied to voter registration. I'm not registered and have been called many times.

I was supposed to do jury duty during the school year. So I told them I was in school and showed them my schedule. And they excused me but rescheduled me for later this summer.
