2 Modems in One Apartment?

I have a Cable Modem my ISP gave me and I found our old router we haven't used for a few years. I hooked it up this weekend and it all works fine. My router can't reach one opposite end of my apartment using Wireless G on my Laptop. So I was wondering if I could use my spare coax cable and connect it to my Laptop in another room because my apartment complex offers free basic cable.

Use Cat 5 cable put RJ45 in each end and hooked the other to the router in different LAN port. I assume you have that standard router that has 1 WAN port (for modem) and 4 LAN port (computers), and the other end to the computer...

using two modems not... two routers yes it will work

MODEM ---> ROUTER ---> ROUTER (WILL WORK)
