What is your fantasy musical collaboration?

I have two. I would like to have witnessed a Brian Eno and Queen collaboration. I would also like to see Robin Guthrie and Elizabeth Fraser make another Cocteau Twins album. They, too, are sorely missed.

Every now and then I look to see if I can find an album put out by Mark Knopfler and Chet Akins about 20 years ago; that has to be interesting to hold my imagination for 20 years.

I think a collaboration between Jimmy Buffett and Robert Earl Keen would be interesting. They'd have to swap sides of the Gulf for a while to understand each other, but that's not insurmountable. They're both great story tellers and both work magic when it comes to turning the stories into music.

Another interesting collaboration would be Foster the People and Third Eye Blind. Both always seem to have a somewhat darker meaning in the lyrics than you'd catch just driving along and hearing them on the radio.

It would also be great to see what Warren Zevon and Panic! At The Disco could come up with. And simillarly, what it would have been like to hear Warren and his son, Jordan, play together; Jordan with the Wallflowers about knocked me out of my socks when they covered Lawyers, Guns and Money.
