I want to make curtains that can go through washer (hot) & dryer. What fabric do I use?
Oh, yeah, I know to pre-shrink before sewing. If possible, once the curtains are done, I'd like to be able to wash the curtains when they are done in hot water, dry them on high heat, and not need to iron them when I pull them out.

Use anything you like that's washable, but wash and dry the fabric before sewing with it so it does all its shrinking before you measure it for sewing. If it comes out of the dryer wrinkled at all, iron it before measuring too or your measuring won't be accurate. That's standard procedure for sewing. Fabrics that come into my house go straight to the laundry room, where they get washed in the hottest water they can take and dried until they are very dry. And sometimes a fabric turns out to not be entirely suitable for its intended use, though that doesn't happen often. Maybe it comes out of the dryer with wrinkles that are hard to iron out.

You ca n use cotton. Wash and dry first to account for shrinkage. Or a cotton/poly blend.
