What could be going wrong?

The water pressure is fine out of our tub's faucet but when we turn on the shower, there is almost none. There is no water coming from the faucet when the shower head is on. There is no leaking behind the shower wall as far as I can tell. No sounds other than the normal. I don't know if this has any bearing on it but a couple of weeks prior to the water pressure lessening in the shower, we put in a new water heater. Initially everything worked fine though.

Take off the shower head and look for clogs. Run the water without the shower head on the fitting and see if it works. Clean the shower head or replace..

Clog in the shower valve and it could very well have to do with changing out the heater or, it could have been it's time. It isn't all that uncommon

Turned out to be both a clog and a leak! Thanks to all those who responded!

(NZ) Hi,Are you on a water meter ? If you are take a reading of it of it before you go to bed. Make sure no one in the house uses the toilet overnight (if they are male tell them to go outside and pee under a tree. lol) In the morning check the meter reading. If its higher than what you wrote down the night before, you have a leak. If the reading is still the same - someone else may have a answer.
