    Personally, I do not believe in it merely because it is a superstition, and that only makes it wonky in my mind. I will say though... it is a strange, infortunate coincidence that seems to occur a lot. Maybe some superstitions are true or there's a little science behind them..

    but alas, call me paradoxical, I believe in my religion more than any psuedo-science based superstition.

    You forgot James Garner, Eli Wallach, Harold Ramis, and a whole lot of other celebrities who have died in between Philip Seymore Hoffman and Robin Williams. So there goes your number 3 rule.
