What stories would you like to read in books or novels.?
I am considering about writing some stories. So, I need some input about what kind of stories are you interested in?
I don't care if you are a child, young adult, mature adult or anyone who is interesting in reading good stories.
Interested to see what kids today want to read other than those popular supernatural themes or the zombies and horror tales.
Do you prefer short stories or novels?
What books have read that appealed to you?
What tv series do you enjoy watching too?

I want to read well-written stories by authors who realise that writing is not a democratic activity.

I know you may have been hoping for a more specific answer, but truthfully, there's no winning formula. There isn't just one genre or topic that's popular right now. However, I personally believe that the dystopian fiction hype is simmering down, and this is the perfect time to introduce a new idea. A new phase is coming soon, and it'll just be something different. Not vampires, not werewolves, not dystopia. In fact, I'm already seeing a shift in stories; authors seem to be returning to the fantasy mold. I've read several stories recently where the protagonist had "special powers" and the story took place in a magical kingdom.
For myself, I like reading historical fiction. And retold classics (like A.C Gaughen's Scarlet or Marissa Meyer's Cinder) are always fun. I'm not particularly a fan of short stories, because I feel that there's not as much character or plot development. For t.v., detective/police shows.
Sorry the answer got a bit long, but I hope it helps! Good luck w/writing
