    Here's one thing that happened. A Sailor put a request chit for marriage leave to get married to his partner. CO disapproved chit because he commented he will not give free leave to gays...............

    Equal Opportunity Concerns aka sexism, racism, or fostering a negative command climate in one way or another. The Navy doesn't mess around with that stuff these days.

    May be the head of the Strike Group and this former-Skipper do not have a good working relationship to begin with or may be this former-Skipper is really a jack@$$; the possibilities are endless with this one.

    It seems that quite a few Skippers have been axed in the last couple of years.

    There is also "Provoking words or gestures." If an officer does this, even to a lower enlisted rank, he can be charged and punished as a Court Martial may permit.
